Spoiler Alert! Who Will Die in The Walking Dead Season 4 Second Half
10 Jan 14
All fans of The Walking Dead must know not to get too attached on a certain character. The show known for its large body count is not afraid to kill the main characters in the most shocking, ruthless, and tragic way. As a matter of fact, that is what makes the AMC hit drama never ceases to amaze its audience with intriguing plots and unexpected scenes.
That being said, Hershel’s death in the mid-season finale still made us gasp and left in disbelief. And although we know that the show’s creators are going to break our hearts over and over again, we can’t help but keep coming back for more. Brace yourselves as the second half of season 4 is coming to a close, where at least one major death is going to happen towards the season finale. So, who will it be?
Recently, executive producer/comic book writer Robert Kirkman told Entertainment Weekly that season 4’s main character death count will be different from season 3, which showed the demise of Lori, T-Dog, Merle, and Andrea. “We have to keep things off balance. It has to be different every season. Maybe we’ll kill two, maybe we’ll kill 10. Who knows? But it will be different.”
The mid-season finale ended with the survivors scattered outside the prison without sufficient supplies. Glenn who went on a bus with a bunch of newbies should be worried, because our guess is those former Woodbury residents will lose some of its personnel. There is also a rumor that said one of the main cast members who has not been killed in the comic book series will die during The Walking Dead Season 4. If the rumor is true, Rick Grimes, Carl Grimes, Maggie Greene, and Michonne are in the danger of being the major character’s death this season as they are the only ones who are still alive in the comic book series.
Rick is probably the most likely to live through The Walking Dead season 4. We think as the main character, killing him off at this stage when the series could go on for another few years would be too soon. Even though it is possible, we still doubt it. He just started to be back as a dependable leader and we would love to see him taking care of the group in a different shelter, assuming the whole group reunite and find a decent haven.
Carl being dead this season is also a long stretch, mainly because showrunner Scott Gimple talked about how Carl’s scenes with Negan in the comic book might come to the TV show. What about Maggie? Her death would be a tremendous loss to both Glenn and Beth. And truthfully, we don’t want the only romance in the show ends in tragedy. But we will be even more shocked if Michonne won’t live to see season 5. The somewhat invincible katana queen always seems indestructible and should even be the last woman standing through the zombie apocalypse!
As much as we hate seeing our favorite characters die, we understand that the writers need to do it so that The Walking Dead continues to be the most awesome show in television!
